Every year, Matt, the kids, and I get our family pictures taken. It takes days of planning what to wear, how Emma is going to wear her hair, etc. Of course, Matt and Emma could care less . . . I just tell them what to wear and what time to be there and they are completely oblivious to the thought process that goes into this.
Last year, it was terrible trying to get an appointment for Portrait Innovations in November. You can only book two weeks in advance, so my friend and I both spent forever on the phone last year trying to get an appointment for me. When we finally got in, we waited over an hour for our appointment. This year, I decided we were going to get our pictures done in October to beat the Christmas rush. Genius!!! I also decided we were all going to wear white tops with denim pants. This took away some of the pressure of buying two Christmas outfits and trying to find something for Matt and I that would coordinate. At this point, I was feeling fairly smart. Until . . .
We got there on Saturday and had to wait a bit for our pictures. I picked up Logan out of his car seat and realized he had pooped through his clothes!!! Like an idiot, I had dressed him in his picture outfit at home instead of waiting. No, I didn't feel so smart anymore. Luckily, I had a blue and white striped onesie in his diaper bag. So, he doesn't completely match, but at least there is white. :)
