Deep Thinking

Emma has been such a deep thinker recently. The other day, I picked her up and we were driving down the road. Out of the blue she asks, "Mom, do only really old people die?" I told her usually, but not always. She then said, "I don't want to die." Of course, hearing her say that broke my heart because I don't want my little girl worrying about something like this at the tender age of five. I told her that it would be a long, long time before she dies. She says, "Mom, what are you going to do with all my stuff when I die?" Where does she come up with this????

A few days prior to that, she was talking about how she remembers when the world was all white. She says that the people were angry with no color and talked to God and asked for color. So, she says, God used his magic hands to make the world colorful and everyone was happy again.

My Sweet Boy

I am constantly amazed at how different boys are than girls. Boys are just rougher and tougher all around. Already, Logan is doing things that are keeping me on my toes. If you've been to my house lately, you know that my coffee table was pushed up to the wall under the windows. Well, it's no longer there. The other day I caught Logan ON the table playing with the blinds. My absolute pet peeve is seeing blinds messed up from the outside, so I had to move the whole table so he couldn't do it to mine. I moved it back in front of the couch, and he continues to climb on it. He has fallen off twice so far, but that doesn't stop him.

I have two large tubs that I use to keep Logan out of the kitchen when I cook. He has learned to climb up and over the tubs and climb from tub to tub. I have no idea how to keep him out of the kitchen! When I used Emma's baby bathtub that I thought was tall enough, he climbed into that, too. I use the same tubs to keep him out of the computer room (see how well they work?). The other day, he pushed the timeout chair up to the tubs to use that as a stepping stool to get over it. He is clever and figuring things out quicker than I can keep up with him!!
