Apple Orchard

Today, Logan and I went with Emma's preschool class on a field trip to the Apple Orchard. It was lots of fun and a great day weather-wise for apple picking! First, we ate our packed lunches at the picnic table with Emma's classmates. We went on a very bumpy and nerve-wracking hayride. I was sure that the preschoolers leaning against the side were going to fall out. Luckily, they didn't! Then, the kids got to hear about how bees make honey and the women in the bee colony do all the work (sound familiar?). After that, they fed goats and got to hold baby kittens. Emma loved the kittens! Then, they got to fill a bag with apples to take home. Right now, Emma and I have baked apples in the oven using the apples that she picked. :) Overall it was a great day and a perfect fall activity.
