Emma has had a tough week. Sunday night she banged her head on the rocker and her nose started bleeding. Matt put some toilet paper up there to stop it, and she thought it was funny. When it was time for bed, she told Matt, "Dad! I can't go to bed looking like THIS!" Here is a picture of her "looking like this." :)
After school on Monday she came home extremely clingy and saying she had a headache, which I thought was from her banging her head. I gave her some Tylenol and took her temperature, and she had one. On Wednesday, the fever was still there. There were also tiny bumps on her hands, feet, and mouth, which is what it looked like about a year and a half ago when she had hand-foot-mouth disease (this was when she had that, plus her first ear infection ever, PLUS impetigo at the same time, AND it was the week Matt left for his eight month training) I took her to the doctor where she was diagnosed with strep! Her throat was so red and raw! It seems that about 10% get a rash with strep, which I never knew. I had asked her earlier that day if it hurt and she said no, so who knew? On top of it all, she has a cough. Poor baby. Hopefully next week will be better.
