It's A Good Idea to Put the Seat Down!

Logan got a haircut! Here are some before and after photos.

I was talking on the phone the other night when I heard Emma start crying. She was supposed to be brushing her teeth in the bathroom. Matt went to go check it out, and he starting laughing hysterically and telling me to come into the bathroom. When I got there, Emma's whole bottom was soaking wet. Matt had gone to the bathroom and left the toilet seat and rim up. Emma wasn't paying attention and sat directly into the water (and pee). She cried and cried while Matt gave her (another) bath. We couldn't stop laughing and she told us, "I don't like it when people laugh at me." We honestly couldn't help it. :)

I put both Logan and Emma in the daycare at the gym when I go to workout. When I picked them up this evening, she told me that she wants to move into the gym. She said if she moved in then she can do ballet, go to the daycare, and go swimming whenever she wants. I'm glad that she enjoys it so much!

Logan is into a full-fledged crawl. He can also pull himself into a stand. He follows me all around the house and when he gets to put he tries to climb up my legs. He stands directly behind me and pulls on my pant legs. Adorable.

Summer Time

With the warm weather setting in, the kids and I have found tons of fun things to do! Unfortunately, Emma was sick this week when the weather was so beautiful. On the way to the gym Monday morning, she got sick in the car even though she had shown no signs of sickness. I took her to the doctor, and they said she just had a virus. She was MISERABLE. I took her to urgent care that night because Matt and I couldn't get her fever to go down. It got as high as 105, and that was way too high for us. She got to lay around and watch TV all day Monday and Tuesday, and finally her fever broke on Tuesday afternoon. Today was much more fun since we got to leave the house.

Logan is moving around everywhere. He is still doing his weird crawl, but he is crawling "normal" half the time. He is a loud talker, and loves to say "mama" and "dada" all the time. I know that he recognizes many words, especially "snack," which is his absolute favorite. He will be one in just one month!

Emma and I both graduated within the last couple of weeks. She is off to kindergarten and I am off to a job and working on my Masters. The thought of doing more school makes me cringe, but I have to do it.

Emma

Emma and I were driving the other day, and she says, "Mommy! Look! That cloud looks just like God!" I looked and it didn't resemble anything to me. It makes me wonder what Emma thinks God looks like.

I am also started to think that there are too many commercials on the Nick channel. She saw a commercial for "Push and Brush" (it looks cool, really) and she said she really wanted it. Then she went on to describe how the homegrown tomato planter works - in great detail. She asks me, "Mom, do you want push and brush or homegrown tomatoes? You have to pick just one." :)

Yesterday was my birthday, and she gave me a tube of her purple lipstick from her makeup pile. She is very worried now about her daddy's birthday. She says she has nothing for a boy to give him! I told her that I am sure we can find something . . .
