Fun Times!

The kids and I have been having a lot of fun now that the weather is nicer and Logan is able to do more. In this picture, you can see his top two teeth poking through. It's funny because Emma got her top teeth at eleven months, and his top teeth are coming in first, too. He's been a bit miserable because of it, but nothing too bad.

Logan and Emma get along great. She is a bit rough with him at times, but it's nothing he can't handle. Here she is showing him how much she loves him. :)

Matt loves the shirt Logan is wearing. It says, "My dad is the man."

Logan is still doing a modified version of a crawl. He pushes himself up, lurches forward, and lands. I'm starting to wonder if he will ever crawl "normal." I do carry him a lot more than I ever carried Emma because he is more demanding. I've been trying to let him become more independent, so we'll see how that goes. Right now, Emma and Logan can play in Emma's room together for an extended period of time while mommy gets quiet time. :)

In a quest to be healthier, Matt and I got a family pass to the NKC community center. I still have some baby weight to lose, and so does Matt! The kids can be in the daycare room for up to two hours while Matt and I work out. It's great because I can go during the day and not have to worry about babysitting. We were going to get Oceans of Fun passes, but I'm glad we did this instead. I took the kids to the pool there today for the first time, and it was nice to not have to worry about sunscreen or the heat with my fair-skinned kids! Emma, of course, loves to "swim" and I was glad that Logan loved the water. He had a great time splashing and walking around with me. :)

Am I FIVE?

This week, I took Emma to her new elementary school for her kindergarten health screening. She was so excited about going and seeing her new school! When I told her, she says, "Am I five?" I told her that she was not yet five. So, she says, "Can I please be five?" She knows that when she is five she is going to kindergarten.

The other day, she asked me for a snack. I told her yes, she could have a healthy snack but that was it. A few minutes later I was talking to Matt when she came in. She says, "Daddy, can I have a snack." I said, "No!" She says, "I wasn't asking you, I was asking my dad!" I'm glad that she thinks she is so clever! She didn't get the snack.

Logan is getting bigger and bigger each day! He is still not crawling all the way, but he is doing a modified version of a crawl. He pushes himself up and lurches himself forward. It's adorable!

Disney on Ice

Here are some random pictures of us before and during the show. That's a ten dollar sno cone that Emma is eating . . . CRAZY!
A few days ago, we went to Disney on Ice. Last year, the theme was princesses, but this year it was Mickey and Minnie's Magical Adventure. It had the The Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, and Lilo and Stitch. I thought it was funny that I knew every word to The Lion King songs, but Emma has never even seen the movie! It's weird that the movies that are classics to me, she doesn't even know. We went with our friends Emily and Olivia, Jill, Allison, and Emma, and Maia and Malena. We had a great time! Emma loved dressing up like a princess, of course.
