She started swim lessons last week, and she did SO great. She is in a group with two other kids. Maia, Emily and I have decided that they are in the middle group (Malena and Emma are in the same group, Emily's daughter, Olivia is in the "upper" group). She was so excited after her first lesson and said she kissed the water and took a magic carpet ride. The second swim lesson, however, didn't go as well. They practice splashing one another, and she cried. She HATES to get her face wet. The parents have to sit outside on bleachers and watch, which is fine because the pool area is HOT. Hopefully, she'll have a basic understanding of doggy paddling by the time we're done.

When Mom Is Away . . .
When I was in meetings on Friday, Matt was home with the kids. He snapped a picture of his terrible behavior. ;) Yes, this is my seven-month-old on the couch eating a SUCKER! He only had a bit, but Matt said he loved it. Of course he does; which kid wouldn't??
Here is my handsome boy hanging out in the grass. Go ahead and comment on how red his hair looks in this picture . . . it would only be the billionth time we've heard how red it is!! ;)

Smells Like Broccoli
She goes back and forth from being excited about the swim lessons she is starting on the 17th to not wanting to go. I think she is mostly worried about getting her face wet. When she gets it wet in the tub and she gets upset, I tell her that she will learn how to do that in swim lessons. She will then tell me she's not going to swim lessons (I already paid sixty-five bucks for them. She's going!). When I say she can't go to Oceans of Fun this summer if she doesn't, she suddenly wants to go. I'm not above bribery. :)
She surprised us the other day when she was looking for something. I can't remember what it was that she was looking for, but she says, "Daddy, I can totally find it." I think I have a mini-teenager on my hands already!!! I have a really cute video of her dancing that I will upload later. Right now, it's on the desktop in the computer room, and I'm not going in there in case it wakes Logan up! :)
I called the school Emma will be attending to give my address for the information on kindergarten roundup. I can't believe she's going to be starting kindergarten already!! She will be going to Oakwood Manor, which is pretty much down the street, unless I get a job at a good school this fall. If so, she will be able to go to that school with me, which will make my life much less stressful!
I finally snapped a few pictures of Logan sitting up. He was playing with this huge toy that was half his size, but he loves it. When he gets really excited and worked up, he still tips over, but for the most part he's got it. It doesn't seem like he's 7 months old already! I swear it feels like he was born yesterday.
I made him some broccoli recently and froze it into cubes like I always do. The smell of broccoli was so overpowering when I pulled it out of the freezer. As dumb as this is to say, it smelled just like broccoli. Most of the foods we have been making don't smell that strongly when it's frozen, so if you come over and my house smells like broccoli, you know why. He loved it, though. He gobbled it up!
